Food Minister Shadhan Chandra Majumder said that all farmers in the country would be brought under app coverage to prevent irregularities and corruption. Sixteen Upazilas in the country have been brought under Pilot scheme through app already. The remaining upazilas would also be brought under app coverage gradually based on the list given by Ministry of Agriculture.
He said this in his speech as the chief guest while inaugurating paddy and rice procurement under Digital Crops Procurement System through “Krisoker App” at a storage in Naogaon Sadar Upazila on Friday morning. At that event presided by Deputy Commissioner of Naogaon Harun Ar Rashid, Rashidul Hasan Acting Superintendent of Police, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun spoke among others. After that, the Minister distributed rice-selling money among farmers using the app.
Later, the Minister along with other officials inaugurated a marathon race organized by Umme Kulsum Memorial Academy and Ethen Enterprise held at Atim field in Naogaon Town. The race ended back at Atim field after circling Shantahar and Kajir mor in the town. Male and females of different ages took part in the Marathon. Prizes will be distributed among the winners of the race on December 30.
