The Election Commission has fixed the date of the 12th National Parliament election of Bangladesh on January 7.
Chattogram Metropolitan Awami League leader Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor led a victory procession welcoming the election schedule.
The rally started from Nandankanan on Wednesday evening that paraded important city roads.
Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor said that the timely announcement of the national election schedule to uphold the constitution in keeping with the development progress of the country is a unique example of the country moving forward.

Therefore, the people's trust is in the boat that symbolizes the construction of smart Bangladesh by the Sheikh Hasina government. The Sheikh Hasina government will win the election on January 24.
After the joyous procession, Chattogram Metropolitan Swechasebak League President DebashishNathDebu said that there has been unprecedented development in Chattogram under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has developed everywhere in Chattogram including Bangabandhu Tunnel, Mayor Mohiuddin Chowdhury Elevated Expressway, Chattogram to Cox's Bazar railway line. 16 seats of Chattogram will be gifted to people's leader Sheikh Hasina in the next election.
