Bangladesh AwamiLeague (AL) HarinakunduUpazila unit president Mashiur Rahman Jaorder had filed a general diary (GD) with local police seeking his safety and security. The diary was filed when a number of named miscreants had attacked his motorcycle and threw brick bats on him on Tuesday night. He disclosed the matter to the media activists at his party office on Wednesday moon.
In the press conference the senior AL leader said he was returning home from local Kalitala Bazar after completing his daily party activities at about 10 PM on Tuesday. When his bike arrived near Satbridge area, a gang of named miscreants like Rubel Hossain, Madhu Mandal, Sohel Azad, Shamim and Shomser with lethal and local arms had tried to attack him. They also threw brick bats on his vehicle during the time.
As he informed the Harinakundu police of the matter, the attackers left the scene. Upazila JuboLeague leader Ashraful Islam Jewel, and Chhatra league leader Rafiqul Islam had witnessed the incident. Since the attack he was feeling insecure and filed GD finding no other alternative.
He had informed the district level president and general secretary of the matter immediate after the incident, Mashiur Rahman Jaorder said.
When contacted Harinakundu police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman said AL leader Mashiur Rahman Jaorder had filed a GD with his police station. They were doing everything to grill the attackers as per law.
