AL holds peace rally in Bhola

A large number of leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) Saturday held peace rally at Mangal Sikdar Bazar in Dhauligar Nagar union under Lalmohan upazila of the district today protesting BNP-Jamaat's violence, arson-terrorism and anarchy in the country.

Lalmohan and Tajumuddin upazila units of Awami League (AL) organised the peace and development rally.

The peace and development rally was held at the Mangal Sikdar Bazar in Dhauligar Nagar union under Lalmohan upazila of the district this morning. 

Member of Parliament (MP) Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shaon addressed the function as the chief guest with Dhauligar Nagar Union Awami League North unit president Maksudur Rahman in the chair.

He said Bangladesh became independent under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The people of the country have full faith in Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has brought economic freedom to the people of the country. In the last 15 years, there has been great development in the country. But BNP cannot tolerate this development in the country. So, the BNP alliance is once again indulging in arson terrorism depending on foreign masters," Shaon said.

Lalmohan Upazila Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Giasuddin Ahmed, Lalmohan Upazila Awami League General Secretary Fakhrul Alam Hawlader, Tajumuddin Upazila Awami League General Secretary Fazlul Haque Dewan, Tajumuddin Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Mohiuddin Poddar, Lalmohan Upazila Awami League Vice-President Aktar Hossain, among others, also spoke.
