In order to motivate people of all walks of life against terrorism and drugs a human chain prgramme was held by Kalukhali AL unit in seven union of the upazila in Rajbari under the direction of Rajbari District AL President Md. Zillul Hakim, MP on Monday.
Leaders and activists of the Upazila AL unit including Atiur Rahman Nawab, the president claimed that the leaders and activists were hindered at various place while coming to join the programme by Police. Later, a press conference was held at Kalukhali AL party office in this regard.
Kalikapur UP Chairman Atiur Rahman Nawab presided over the press conference while Kalukhali UZ Chairman Alimuzzaman Tito Chowdhury, Pangsha UZ Chairman Prof Md Farid Hasan Wadud and others were present.
After the press conference, Rajbari-2 MP Md Zillul Hakim joined a teleconference and said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has zero tolerance against terrorism and drugs. In its continuation we organize a program, but the police administration intervened with that.
However, Kalukhali Police Station OC Mohammad Kamrul Hasan claimed that no obstruction was created by the police. Two parties had asked permission to hold a human chain at the same spot so, none were given the permission, he added.
