SM Kamal, organizing secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, said that due to the extreme popularity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, continuity of development, acceptance of candidates and party unity, no one will be able to stop the victory of Awami League in the by-election of Naogaon-6 constituency.

Raninagar and Atrai, two upazilas with Naogaon-6 constituency, were once known as districts full of crime. The people of this area were sometimes terrified by the oppression of the proletariat.

But as a result of the appropriate steps taken by the present government, only peace prevails in the area. And the people of this area are peaceful. On the other hand, the people of Naogaon sincerely believe in the development work done in the last few years.

Therefore, there is no such force that will defeat the Awami League candidate in the by-election on October 17. Awami League organizing secretary SM Kamal further said that the by-election on October 17 will be fair, free and neutral. Noting that the election will be competitive if the BNP is in the field in the end, he called on the BNP to be in the field in the end.

Addressing the media, he said journalists play an important role in safeguarding democracy in a country. They point out the faults of a government in their writings and give the right direction to the government. There is an opportunity for the government to amend it.

The Awami League never gives shelter to four types of people in the party. These four types of people are those who are involved in corruption, those who commit terrorism, those who are convicted of murder and those who are involved in drugs.

He made the remarks at an exchange meeting with local journalists at a hotel lounge in Naogaon at 9pm on Wednesday. The meeting was organized ahead of the Naogaon-6 by-election to be held on October 17.

Bogra District Awami League Joint Secretary Asadur Rahman Dulu, Naogaon District Awami League Organizing Secretary Javed Jahangir Sohel, Boalia Union Parishad Chairman Alhaj Hasan Al Mamun and District Juba League General Secretary Biman Kumar Roy were present during the occasion.
