AL activists vow action over ‘indecent remark’ about PM by BNP leader

Leaders and activists of Awami League from Rajshahi district and the common people have vehemently condemned and expressed hatred for BNP Rajshahi district Convener Abu Sayed Chand for his indecent and vulgar remarks about the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the leaders of Bagha upazila Awami League in a protest meeting held on July-23 have declared BNP leader Abu Sayed Chand as an ' Unwanted person' in Bagha and Charghat upazila and declared to resist any programme of BNP in Bagha.

Presidium Member of AL,RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Joint Secy of Rajshahi city Jubo League Tourid Al Masud Rony  and the leaders of the front oragnisations of Rajshahi district and the City AL have condemned the indecent, vulgar remarks about the Prime Minister by Abu Sayed Chand and vowed to take action against him as per the decision of the party. 

It is learnt, in a meeting of BNP held at Habiburer More under Monigram union of Bagha upazila on July-21 evening, Abu Sayed Chand delivered his speech as the chief guest where he made indecent, vulgar remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina involving the former Chief Minister Joyoti Basu of West Bengal of India. 

He further said in the meeting that Ziaur Rahman had brought back Sheikh Hasina to the country from London. He also called upon the BNP leaders and activists to work for Tarek Rahman and to engage in the BNP of Tarek Rahman.  

The indecent and vulgar remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have created anger among local AL leaders and activists and they have declared to resist holding of any programme of BNP at Charghat and Bagha upazilas.

Ashraful Alam Babul, General Secy of Bagha upazila AL, said people of Bagha and Charghat will never tolerate such audacious, indecent remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He further mentioned, Abu Sayed Chand not only made indecent, audacious, vulgar remarks about the Prime Minister but also about the incumbent State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam MP. As a result, BNP leader Abu Sayed Chand has been declared as an 'unwanted' person in Bagha and Charghat and vowed to resist any future programme of BNP in Bagha and Charghat.

AL Presidium Member, RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said, BNP leaders in Rajshahi have been making indecent remarks and  delivering abusive speeches one after another against the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League. And, now no more concession will be given for the BNP leaders including that leader( Abu Sayed Chand) and action will be taken against him in accordance with the party decision.
