The alumni of American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) living in Australia came together for a memorable reunion on June 21. The event, organised by AIUB Alumni Australia (AAA), was held at the Pullman Hotel near Sydney Airport to mark the 30th anniversary of the university.

Alumni, faculty members, families, and special guests from different Australian cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Perth attended the celebration. It was a joyful gathering where former students reconnected, shared fond memories, and celebrated the success of their university.

A special highlight of the event was the presence of Mrs. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman, Board of Trustees, AIUB, and Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member, Board of Trustees and former Vice Chancellor of the university. In their speeches, both reflected on the growth and achievements of AIUB over the last three decades and how it continues to gain recognition globally.

Many alumni also took the stage to express their heartfelt gratitude to AIUB for shaping their careers and teaching them values that still guide their lives. They shared how AIUB played an important role in building their personal and professional journeys.

The evening featured opening speeches, entertaining cultural performances, a grand dinner, and an awards ceremony where all participating alumni were honored. The event created a festive atmosphere filled with laughter, nostalgia, and new friendships.

Attendees expressed happiness at reconnecting with old friends and making new connections within the AIUB alumni community in Australia. The organizers said the reunion marked another milestone in strengthening the global network of AIUB graduates and pledged to continue such initiatives in the future.
