Air Vice Marshal awards certificates in FI course

The certificate award ceremony of 59th FlyingInstructors’ Course of Bangladesh Air Force was held at Flying Instructors’ School (FIS) in Arulia Air Field in Bogura district on Sunday.

According to the ISPR, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) of BAF Air Vice Marshal M Shafiqul Alam attended the program as the chief guest. He also distributed certificates among the thirteen course members of FI course.  He appreciated the student officers for being part of respectable group of flying instructors who will train the ab initio pilots to defend the sky of our beloved motherland. It is mentionable that twelve officers from BAF and one officer from Bangladesh Navy received the certificates on successful completion of FI course. 

Squadran Leader Mahmud Hossain Rafid of no 59 FI course was adjudged as the best all round student officer and awarded with the prestigious ‘Mofiz Trophy’. Officer Commanding of Flying Instructors’ School (FIS), Group Captain Mehedi Hasan gave a brief resume on the course conducted by the school.  Among others, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman, Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Kamrul Islam, and senior officers of BAF were also present on the occasion.
