Air chief off to US

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat along with his spouse and two entourages left Dhaka for United States of America on Friday  on a six-day official visit, said ISSPR on Sunday. 

During his visit to USA, Chief of Air Staff of BAF will participate in bilateral meeting with high officials of UN Headquarters in New York on the issues related to UN peacekeeping missions of BAF. 

He will also call on Chief of US Air Force General Charles Q. Brown, Jr. and Director of Defence Security Co-operation Agency (DSCA) Heidi Grant and exchange views on different issues of mutual interests. 

During his stay in USA, Chief of Air Staff of BAF will visit various military and civil installations in USA including the aviation companies like Lockheed Martin and Boeing. During his visit to Boeing Company, Chief of Air Staff of BAF will give a brief presentation on Bangladesh in addition to participating in a discussion on aviation and military equipments.

 It is expected that the visit of Chief of Air Staff of BAF will provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion with high officials of UN Headquarters on various issues related to the BAF UN peacekeeping mission who will help to determine future course of action for the country. 

Finally, through this visit, the existing bilateral relations between the air forces of the two friendly countries will be further strengthened, the ISPR hand out said.
