The annual tree plantation program of Bangladesh Air Force began on Tuesday in harmony with the National Tree Plantation Programme-2023.
BAF has also undertaken 'Tree Plantation Programme-2023' with the aim of increasing the tree resources of the country and maintaining ecological balance.
Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan inaugurated the programme by planting saplings adjacent to the lake beside Tejgaon Old Airport Runway on Tuesday. BAF is observing tree plantation programme-2023 in this year with the national slogan 'Gach Lagiye Jotno kori, Sustho Projonmer Desh Gori’.
During the event, Principal Staff Officers of Air Headquarters took part in the tree plantation programme by planting different saplings. Among others, Directors and senior BAF officers of Air Headquarters were also present in the ceremony. It also mentionable that all BAF bases and units are also observing the similar programme by planting fruit bearing, forestry and medicinal saplings.
