This will enhance the status of the agricultural profession in the country. As a result more people will come forward in agriculture.

Agriculture Minister Dr. Md. Abdur Razzque as chief guest said this while presenting the Agriculture Important Person (AIP) award at a program at Osmani Smriti Auditorium in the capital on Wednesday.

For the first time, 13 people have been awarded the ‘Agriculture Important Person (AIP)’-2020 by the Ministry of Agriculture. The awardees are overwhelmed to get such national recognition for doing agriculture.

The Agriculture Minister said, “AIP is a great initiative to honor every year the farmers, agronomists, entrepreneurs, producers, farmers who are one of the artisans of the success of the country’s agriculture.
