A three-day agricultural technology fair was inaugurated at Ishwardi in Pabna on Wednesday.
Under the agriculture development of Rajshahi division through extension of modern technology project, this fair was inaugurated on the office premises of the Agriculture Officer around 4:00pm.
Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Emdadul Haque Rana Sardar inaugurated the fair as the chief guest by releasing balloons and cutting the ribbon. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subir Kumar Dash presided over the inauguration ceremony of the three-day agricultural technology fair organised by the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE). Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Mita Sarkar gave the welcome speech. Upazila Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan, Upazila Woman Vice Chairman Atia Ferdous Kakali, Ishwardi Press Club President Mostak Ahmed Kiran and others spoke as special guests. DAE officer Prallab Kumar Kundu conducted the event. Chief guest of the inaugural ceremony of the fair, Md Emdadul Haque Rana Sardar, said measures will be taken so that every farmer of the rural area should get the government incentive on time. Moreover, it will be monitored how and where the farmers are using the incentives. The agricultural management of Ishwardi Upazila will be updated with proper management and distribution, he added. Later, the chief guest and others visited several stalls of the fair. The agricultural fair will continue until June 28.
