The martyrdom day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day have been celebrated in the medical colleges run by Ad-Din Foundation. Ad-Din Women's Medical College Dhaka, Ad-Din Sakina Medical College Jashore, Ad-Din Akij Medical College Khulna and Bashundhara Ad-Din Medical College organized mourning meetings and prayers at their respective campuses on Sunday.
Mourning day discussion and prayers were held at 9 am at Ibrahim Lecture Theater of Ad-Din Women's Medical College. The principal of the college spoke at the meeting. Afikur Rahman, Vice-Principal Prof. Ashraf Uzzaman and others. At the end of the programme, Imam Hafez Maulana Saidul Islam of Ad-Din Medical College conducted the prayers.
A discussion meeting on the day of mourning was held at Ad-Din Akij Medical College in Khulna at noon. Dr Plavan Basu, Dr Atahar Hossain, Dr Prince, Dr Belal Hossain and others spoke at the programme.
The day of mourning was observed at Bashundhara Ad-Din Medical College through various programmes including discussion, prayer mahfil, voluntary blood donation, free blood group diagnosis. The principal of the collegeDr Nurul Alam, Director Ruhul Amin, Dr Sanjay Kumar Saha and others spoke at the meeting.
