Actor Khalequz Zaman passes away

Renowned veteran actor and freedom fighter Khalequz Zaman died on Tuesday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was 72 years old.

Television director Rafat Mozumder Rinku confirmed the news to media. 

He breathed his last at 11am at his residence at Gulshan in the capital. His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the mosque in Kurmitola at 5pm.

As an actor, Khalequz Zaman became a listed artist of BTV in 1975. He first appeared in the TV series "Shorpobhrome Rojju". After that he went on to act in various television projects including "Toma", "Boro Bari", "Somoy Osomoy", among others. 

He also acted alongside Nayok Raj Razzak and Kabori in the film "Onirban". The actor had also showcased his acting prowess in movies including Shihab Shaheen's "Chuye Dile Mon" and Anam Biswas's "Debi."

Khalekuzzaman was born at Santahar in Bogura. He completed his masters in Drama and Fine Arts from Chittagong University.
