Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak on Sunday said stern action will be taken if anyone increases prices of commodities during the holy month of Ramadan.
"Law enforcement agencies will take action if anyone increase price of commodities," he told the inauguration function of distribution of commodities at fair price during the Ramadan in city's Shyamoli.
He also said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina alerted to businessmen several times, but they are not following her directives, so actions will be taken against unscrupulous traders.
Nanak, also AL Presidium Member, said the traders of different country are selling products at reduced prices during Ramadan, but our traders hike the prices of essentials during the holy month.
