Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a warranted accused of a dowry case from Shibganj upazila of the district Saturday night.
The arrested was identified as Md Sujon Ali, 32, son of Md Jades Ali of Babupur Miratuli under Shibganj upazila. RAB said Sujon was a warranted accused of a dowry case of Shibganj. thana and remained absconding.
Acting on a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Ranihati Bazar area under the upazila around 10.30 pm and nabbed him, the sources added.
Later, the RAB members handed him over to the police of Shibganj thana.
