The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) enforcement team conducted a successful operation on Wednesday afternoon, recovering 6 Brahman cows imported by Sadeeq Agro from  road no16, Kather Pool area near Chandrima Udyan. Among them was a prized cow worth millions, previously a topic of discussion before Eid.

These cows, imported in 2021 under false pretenses by Sadeeq Agro, were seized initially by airport customs and later entrusted to the Department of Animal Resources. However, under illicit influence, Sadeeq Agro retrieved and illegally sold one of these high-value cows.

Assistant Director Abul Kalam Azad led three ACC teams in a comprehensive day-long raid on Savar Central Cow Breeding and Dairy Farm, as well as Sadeeq Agro's facilities in Savar, Mohammadpur, and Narsingdi on Monday. During the operation, they discovered 5 Brahman cows and 7 calves housed in a shed belonging to Sadeeq Agro in Savar.

Continuing their investigation, ACC personnel extended their search to the airport's customs premises on Tuesday, underscoring their commitment to uncovering and rectifying corruption in livestock management.

Employees of Sadeeq Agro claim that each cow is worth crores. No owner or manager of Sadeeq Agro was found during the raid. An employee of Sadeeq Agro said that the cows were brought here late at night on Tuesday.
