An air-conditioned (AC) bus caught fire in Saturia upazila of Manikganj on Monday morning. However, there was no reports of casualties.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Golora highway police Lutfar Rahman said that the Dhaka-bound bus of K-Line Paribahan caught fire at about 6:00 am due to technical glitch.
Soon after the incident, passengers hurriedly got down from the bus. On information, fire fighters put out the flame.
Vehicular movement on the busy highway remained suspended for an hour following the fire incident.
