A2i and Runner Automobiles Plc will work together to research and develop an environmentally friendly, sustainable and citizen-centric innovative technology automobile industry in the country.
In this regard, ICT Tower organized a MoU signing ceremony under the Cabinet Division and Information and Communication Technology Department under the implementation of 'A2I' with the support of UNDP.
In presence of state minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak and Runner Automobiles Plc Chairman Hafizur Rahman Khan, a2i project director Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir and MD & CEO of Runner Automobiles Plc Riazul Haque Chowdhury signed the memorandum of understanding for their respective side on Wednesday.
ICT State Minister said, “We have to go from ideation to commercialization to build an innovative and smart Bangladesh with better income in 2041 from Digital Bangladesh. The government will also provide support to involve the private sector of the country to utilize the talent and technology of the inventors and researchers of the country through the Innovation Lab of A2I in building a supportive environment for this transformation.”
“Prime Minister declared ICT as the Product of the Year 2022 with utmost importance on electric vehicles to build a cost-effective, sustainable, knowledge-based innovative Bangladesh. By establishing a state-of-the-art lab through A2I-Lab, instead of having separate research and development centers for the automobiles companies of the country, it will be possible to provide cooperation to other private sector and automobile companies of the country involved in this sector very easily and at a low cost. In this way, there will be a possibility to make the country's automobile industry stronger by utilizing the country's scarce resources,” added the state minster. Project director (Joint Secretary) of A2I Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir said that a2i is working to develop an innovative, sustainable, environment-friendly and citizen-friendly automobiles industry. The organization is working jointly with private organizations to provide policy support to domestic institutions for the development of new areas suitable for the fourth industrial revolution.
