96 receive higher education scholarships from Hungary

The Hungarian government has nominated 96 students from Bangladesh for Masters, Honors and PhD scholarships under 'The Stipendium Hangaricum Scholarship Program For 2021-2022'.

The list of students receiving scholarships was published on the website of the Ministry of Education on Monday. In addition, Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair confirmed this.

He said the Hungarian government has nominated 96 students from Bangladesh for higher education in 2021-2022. Hungary will bear all the expenses of higher education for a period of two years for the students.

Earlier, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh and Hungary in Budapest on June 30.

According to the Ministry of Education, under the agreement, for the next three years, 130 students from Bangladesh will have the opportunity to study in Hungary at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD level with full scholarship.

In addition to the 96 nominees, 22 are on the waiting list.
