94 Phensidyl bottles seized in Thakurgaon

Police recovered 94 bottles of narcotic Phensidyl from a sack of nuts in Thakurgaon and arrested one person for being involved in the incident on Wednesday based on a tip-off. 

The Phensidyl were recovered from a passenger bus named 'Golden Line' traveling from Boda in Panchagarh to Barishal. Police stopped the vehicle in front of the BGB camp in Thakurgaon.

Police searching the bus found the bottles hidden inside a sack of nuts and arrested a man named Ram Prasad Roy, son of Biren Chandra Roy of Chapati village in Rajagaon union of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Abu Taher Mohammad Abdullah, Inspector of Police (Investigation) Golam Mortuza and others were present during the operation.

Thakurgaon Sadar Police Inspector (Investigation) Golam Mortuza confirming the information said a case has been registered in this regard.
