92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata celebrated in Munshiganj

A prayer and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the 92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib.

Munshiganj District Awami League organized this event on Monday evening at the party office in Kachari.

Alhaj Md Mohiuddin, the lone companion of Bangabandhu and president of Munshiganj District Awami League, was present as the chief guest at the event.

Under the chairmanship of General Secretary of Munshiganj district Awami League, Sheikh Mohammad Lutfar Rahman, Vice President of Munshiganj District Awami League and Sadar Upazila Chairman Virmuktijoddha Anisuzzaman Anis spoke as a special guest.

Munshiganj District Awami League Joint General Secretary Sohana Tahmina spoke in the discussion among others, working member of Munshiganj District Awami League Saiful bin Samad Shubhra, Munshiganj City Awami League Vice President Mohammad Ali, District Women Awami League General Secretary Samchun Nahar Shilpi, Charkewar Union Awami League Legal Affairs Secretary Hasan Mridha, Theater personality Jahangir Alam Dhali, Charneta Oikya Parishad president Advocate Salma Akhtar and others.

Munshiganj District Online Press Club President Kazi Biplab Hasan, Munshiganj Reporters Unity General Secretary Md. Rubel, Munshiganj Reporters Unity Finance Secretary Md. Farhad Mia and district Awami League leaders and activists were also present. At the end of the discussion, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the departed soul.

Alhajj Md. Mohiuddin said in the speech of the chief guest, remembering the memory of Bangamata Fazilatunnessa, one day I went to bird hunting without Bangabandhu's presence. When I came home from bird hunting, Bangamata asked where the hunter was. In answer to Bangmata's question, I said that I left the hunter outside because of the fear of Bangabandhu. Then Bangamata said, I will take responsibility to handle it. Bring on the hunter. Alhajj Mohiuddin also said, Bangamata loved every leader and worker very much. One day, he cooked balls of rice, various types of bharata and fish in the canteen for the leaders and activists so that the leaders and activists would not have to eat in any hotel outside by putting up posters.
