On the occasion of National Mourning Day and the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a special prayer was held and government-provided allowance cards were distributed among beneficiaries in Gopalganj on Friday morning.
Alimuzzaman Bittu, Municipal Councilor of Ward No. 1 and Joint General Secretary of Press Club distributed the cards among 90 beneficiaries (Elderly, Widow and Disabled) in the conference room of Gopalganj Municipality.
At this time, Md. Manjur Ali Khan, Kazi Mizanur Rahman, Nazma Begum, Md. Ohiduzzaman, Md. Sohag Fakir, Md. Sahin Mollah and other benefi
ciaries were present following hygiene rules.
Earlier, after reciting Holy Fateha and Durood, prayers were offered to ask for the forgiveness of the soul of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs of August 15, 1975. After that, refresh ments were distributed among the guests.
