9 UP members, wood trader sued for felling roadside trees

A case was filed against 9 UP members and a wood trader of Narikelbaria Union Parishad for illegally cutting  down the roadside trees  in Bagharpara Upazila of Jashore district on Thursday night. 

Syed Al Mamun officer in charge of Bagharpara Police Station said that Md. Ashrafuzzaman, assistant land officer, filed the case against nine up members and a trader with Bagharpara Police Station for illegally cutting  down the road side trees. 

The accused were Narikelbaria Union Parishad member,Moudud Hossain, Hafizur Rahman, Rabiul Biswas, Shahidullah ,Tariqul Islam,  Shahinur Rahman, Abdur Razzak Abdur Rahim, and Rabiul Islam  and a wood trader Golam Hossain of Panchbaria village in the upazila.

 According to the case the UP members contacted the wood trader and cut down fifteen roadside trees in Panchbaria village and illegally sold the trees to Golam Hossain on Wednesday night.

Abul Sardar, UP Chairman of Narikelbaria said police will take necessary action against them for  cuting down the govt. trees.
