9 gamblers held red handed by police in Satkhira

Police detained nine gamblers during the gambling in Satkhira. At this time, Tk 12 thousand one hundred 73, 8 mobile phone sets and five set of cards were recovered.

Police arrested them from Haraddaha village of Sadar upazila on Monday morning.

The arrested persons were identified as  Kadu Sardar, son of the deceased Razzaq Sardar of Haraddadah village of Sadar Upazila, Shafiqul Islam, son of the deceased Johar Ali, Habibur Rahman, son of Mosharraf Moral, Ashraf Ali, son of Babar Ali, Shahjahan Biswas, son of Wahab Biswas, son of Abdur Rahman Gazir, Manjur Gazi, Manjur Gazi.  Emadul Sardar's son Palash Hossain is their home in Haraddadah village. And Mohammad Jalal, son of Johnny Sardar of Raghunathpur village of the same Upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Satkhira Sadar Police Station Mostafizur Rahman said that based on secret news, the police raided the village of Haraddadah and arrested 9 gamblers. Mobile and gambling equipment was recovered from the area.
