The number of recovered Covid-19 patients reached 88,302 with the recovery of 43 more people till Friday morning raising the average recovery rate to 86.36 percent in the district.
Health officials said that the recovery rate continues to rise amid sharply declining number of casualties and positivity rate during the last few months in the district. “Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases reached 102,245 with the diagnosis of 11 fresh cases on Friday in the district,” Focal person of the Covid-19 district Civil Surgeon Dr Ilias Chowdhury told BSS.
Eleven fresh Covid-19 cases were diagnosed after testing 1,779 samples while the positivity rate was 0.90 percent in the district on Friday.
“The number of casualties now stands at 1,227 as no new death case was reported here during the last
24 hours ending at 8 am on Friday,” he said.
