Noakhali district police gave a reception to 87 retired police Freedom Fighters and families of martyrs at the Shaheed Constable Monirul Haque Auditorium in the Police Lines on Saturday afternoon.
Chattogram Range DIG Anwar Hossain handed over financial aid and various gift items to them as the chief guest. Police Superintendent Alamgir Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Jyoti Khisa and other police officials were also present at the time.
In his speech, DIG Anwar Hossain highlighted the heroism of the police Freedom Fighters in the Liberation War and directed every policeman to play a role in safeguarding independence of the country in the days to come.
