12 new corona positive reports have been received in Satkhira in 24 hours (June 14). This information was given in a report sent from Khulna PCR Lab. A total of 80 corona positive persons were identified in Satkhira till June 14.
The newly infected patients are Sahera Bibi, Khadija Bibi and Raju Ahmed of Debhata in Satkhira, Ripon Moral, Rama Das and Ahna Biswas of Jalalpur village in Tala upazila. Besides, the addresses of Shahidul Islam, Abdul Rauf, Afroza, Ahsan Kabir, Raju and Moniruzzaman were not found.
Earlier Limon Ali, second officer of Dutch Bangla Bank in Munshipara area of Satkhira, Anarul Islam of Munjit area of the town, Satyapad Pal of Khordo village in Kalaroa upazila and Azizur Rahman of Ghona village in Tala upazila were infected with corona.
In the meantime, the local administration has locked down the houses of the people affected with corona and a few houses around them have been identified raising red flags.
Dr. Jayanta Sarkar, Medical Officer, Satkhira Civil Surgeon's Office, confirmed the matter and said that till June 14, 80 people from the district had been tested positive for corona.
Meanwhile, HM Golam Reza, a former member of parliament from Satkhira-4 constituency, former presidium member of Jatiya Party and central leader of the Bikalpa Dhara, has contracted the corona virus. He is currently undergoing treatment at his home in Dhaka.
