The four-day National Vitamin-A Plus Campaign-2022 is going to be held from 12 to 15 June. In this year's Vitamin-A Plus Campaign, a total of 75,945 children aged 6 to 59 months will be fed Vitamin-A Plus Capsules in 8 Upazilas, 2 Municipalities, 30 Unions, 90 Wards of Bandarban district.
This information was given at a press orientation meeting organized by the District Health Department at the conference room of Bandarban District Civil Surgeon's Office on Thursday at 11 am.
Bandarban Civil Surgeon Nihar Ranjan Nandi said that overall preparations have been made on the occasion of National Vitamin-A Plus Campaign-2022. The campaign will be held in Bandarban district for 4 days simultaneously with the rest of the country. According to the District Civil Surgeon's Office, this year, 11,605 children aged 6-11 months in 90 wards of 30 unions in 6 Upazilas and 2 municipalities of Bandarban district will be given blue Vitamin 'A' Plus capsules. In addition, 84,340 children aged 12-59 months will be given red Vitamin-A Plus capsules. A total of 85,945 children in the entire district have been targeted to be given Vitamin-A Plus capsules.
Meanwhile, in the conference orientation meeting organized on the occasion in the conference room of the District Civil Surgeon's Office, the Medical Officer of the Civil Surgeon's Office, Dr Farzana.
