A total of 714 students of class nine and ten from 119 secondary schools and madrasas in three upazilas of the district will be given tabs as recognition for their respective brilliant result. As part of the tabs given programme a total of 24 students from four Schools of Sadar upazila were given tabs here on Tuesday.
The tabs were given as gifts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on behalf of the People Census and Household Census Project- 2021 at the office conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) in the district.
Deputy Commissioner of Narail Asfakul Haque Chowdhury was present as chief guest of the distribution ceremony where District Statistics Office Nazrul Islam presided over the function. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Faqrul Hasan, District Education Officer SM Chayedur Rahman, District Commandant of Ansar and VDP Office Bikash Chandra Das, President of Narail Press Club Enamul Kabir Tuku, Statistics Officer Tapan Kumar, officials of various government offices and teachers and students of various schools were present in the distribution function.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Asfakul Haque Chowdhury said the tabs are gifts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the students. The students attained the modern devices as they obtained brilliant results in classes. Teachers and guardians will monitor the students. The tabs making the recipient students happy and inspired, he added.
He also expected that the tabs would help the students to acquire knowledge properly.
