The 66 new doctors are being added to the treatment of coronavirus in different hospitals of Chittagong city and district. The 2,000 doctors recruited through the 39th special BCS examination for corona treatment & 66 have been posted in Chittagong.
Doctors will join the Civil Surgeon's Office in Chittagong on Tuesday. The Civil Surgeon and the Director of Health will distribute their responsibilities in different hospitals.
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that a notification was issued by the Department of Health appointing 2,000 doctors of the 39th BCS to perform their duties in the Covid-19 (Corona) dedicated hospitals on May 9.
The 66 recruited doctors have been posted in Chittagong district. These doctors will join on Tuesday. He said that these doctors will be posted of Corona Dedicated Hospital in Chittagong district and metropolis only for the treatment of Corona patients.
Considering the importance and necessity, the newly recruited doctors will be posted in BITID Hospital, Field Hospital, Chittagong General Hospital, Holy Crescent Hospital and various Upazila Health Complexes at the upazila level.
The newly recruited young doctors will begin their duties at their new workplace in the Corona War within the next week, the civil surgeon said.
Corona treatments will be delivered to their designated hospitals within days of joining. The decision will be made through coordination between the Civil Surgeon and the Director of Health.
