600 women receive free heath service from Army

Bangladesh Army arranged a health camp to provide free healthcare services to 600 poor and marooned people including pregnant mothers in Thakurgaon on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, a team of 45 field ambulances under the overall management of Eight Infantry Division, a team of specialist doctors from CMH Syedpur under 4 East Bengal Regiment provided free healthcare service, while maintaining social distance in a school ground in Baliadangi Upazila Health Centre area and Ranisankail.

During the occasion, medical services were provided to a total of 600 people including 272 pregnant mothers, 166 ordinary women, 166 children and 26 men.

Pregnant mothers’ medical programs included RT PCR testing of mothers with corona symptoms by a gynaecologist, distribution of necessary medicines for any disease, prenatal warnings and advice, distribution of leaflets with postnatal advice and post-follow-up information. Pregnant women were also provided with specialist services through telemedicine.

Among others present on the occasion were 45 Field Ambulance Commander Lt. Col. Md. Hasmat Ullah Khan, Pediatrician Lt. Col. Jahangir, Gynecologist and Obstetrician Major Rafia Sultana, Medical Officer Capt. Noorani Hanfa, Capt. Zarif Hossain Khan, Capt. Various members and aspirants for medical services.
