Six pedestrians were fined for not wearing masks by a mobile court drive at a crowded place and market in the old bus stand area of Thakurgaon town on Thursday afternoon.
Executive Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abdullah-al-Mamun conducted the mobile court drive and collected a total fine of Tk 1,050 from 6 pedestrians for coming to the market without masks.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abdullah-Al-Mamun said, the government has made it compulsory to wear masks to prevent the Corona transmission. But some people are still wandering around without wearing masks.
The UNO also distributed masks among the people at the time who were present at the market without masks.
