The anti-corruption commission (ACC) has found evidence of illegal promotion of six employees in Rajshahi secondary and higher secondary education board by creating fictitious posts. On Thursday morning, ACC assistant director in Rajshahi Alam Hossain confirmed the information to the newsman following an inquiry.

After the inquiry, the ACC told the journalists that among those six employees of the board, Mohammod Farid Hasan as deputy-examination controller (JSC), Rubi as deputy-examination controller (Script), Mohammod Durul Huda as deputy-secretary (Preservation), Khorshed Alam as deputy-secretary (Protocol), Nuruzzaman as sub-school inspector (Registration) and Sultana Shamima Aktar as library and information documentation posts have been promoted.

However, there has been widespread outrage among the senior officials of the board over how the six employees’ the payment structure of them went into fifth grade from seventh grade.

According to the ACC, it is unlawful to move directly fifth grade from the seventh grade. No one has been given such promotion in the past. The posts are fictitious because there are no those posts in the country’s other education boards without six posts for deputation.

In this regard, Rajshahi education board chairman professor Dr Mokhbul Hossain’s comment was not available as he was out of the country. The ACC has got inconsistency in promotion of the six employees. An effective action already has been taken when asking Alam Hossain, the ACC assistant director in Rajshahi.
