Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized 585 bottles of foreign liquor raiding the Chhera Dwip of St. Martin's Island on Saturday.
Lt. Commander Abdur Rahman, a media officer at the Bangladesh Coast Guard headquarters here, confirmed it saying that based on secret information, BCG Station Teknaf conducted an operation in the Keya forest area adjacent to the Chhera Dwip island and seized 585 bottles of foreign liquor.
No one could be arrested from the area, he said.
He further said, “The seized foreign liquor has been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.”
