Chuadanga Jatiya Shromik League celebrated the 52nd founding anniversary of Jatiya Shromik League on Tuesday (October 12).
On the occasion different programmes including placing wreath on the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, hoisting of national and party flag, rally, cake cutting and discussion was held in observance of the day.
Members of District Shromik League, Awami League, Mohila Awami League, Chhatra League placed wreaths before the portrait of Bangabandhu at the opening of the program.
Party flag and national flag were hoisted on the premises of Awami League Office. Party leaders and activists were present at the time of hoisting.
A rally was brought out in the town. The participants of the rally paraded the main roads of the town with colorful banner. They chanted slogans in favor of present government.
A discussion was held at District Awami League Party Office with Afzalul Haque, President of District Shromik League, in the chair. Reazul Islam Joarder Toton, Joint Secretary of District Awami League was present as chief guest.
The programme was addressed by Munsi Alamgir Hannan, Joint Secretary of District Awami League, Ripon Mondal, General Secretary of District Shromik League and Adv Abu Taleb. Later, a huge cake was cut and distributed among the guests as part of the celebration.
