51 students of Fisheries Faculty in Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) of 2017-18 academic year are going to Malaysia for internship. On Saturday they will leave for 'University Malaysia Terengganu'.
According to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed for the purpose of education and research exchange, all students of the said batch will stay for one month free of cost in the said university and complete the internship program.
This information was given in an exchange meeting held in the conference room of the administrative building of the university on Thursday afternoon. The exchange meeting was organized by the Faculty of Fisheries on the occasion of the students' visit to Malaysia.
The meeting was presided over by CVASU Fisheries Faculty Dean Professor Dr. Mohammad Nurul AbsAbsar Khan. CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Gautam Buddha Das, recipient of Ekushey Medal, spoke as the chief guest in the exchange meeting held. CVASU Director (External Activities) Prof. Dr. AKM Saifuddin and Director (Student Welfare) Prof. Dr. Omar Farooq Miyaji spoke as special guests. Dr. Md. Faisal, Head and Associate Professor of Fishing and Post-Harvest Technology Department gave the welcome address.
Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman, Assistant Professor of Marine Bioresource Science Department, Dr. Helena Khatun, Assistant Professor of Aquaculture Department shared the experiences of University Malaysia Terengganu in the meeting.
Mentioned that these two CVASU teachers once taught at the said university in Malaysia.
The meeting was moderated by Dr. Mohammad Sadekur Rahman Khan, Associate Professor of Marine Bioresource Science Department.
