50pc work of Khulna-Mongla rail completed

Md Mofazzal Hossain, Secretary of Ministry of Railways, emphasized on rapid completion of Khulna-Mongla rail route at a meeting  as chief guest in the conference room of Khulna Railway rest house on Friday.

Meanwhile, 50 percent of this project work has been com­pleted.The rest of the construction work will be completed by 2021. 

He said our government is giving priority of rail route development. At that time, Additional Chief engineer Ahmed Hossain Masum of Khulna-Mongla rail line project along with others were present. 

The joint venture Khulna-Mongla Railway Line project had been taken by India and Bangladesh government. A total of 64.75 km broad-gauge line, 21.11 km loops, 4,413 km approach roads, 7.18 km Railway Bridge on Rupsha River and 8 railway stations will be constructed under the project.
