Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) has awarded its five personnel with crests in recognition of professional excellence in discharging duties during the month of August last. "RpMP Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Alim Mahmud distributed the awards at the monthly crime assessment meeting for August-2021 held on Thursday afternoon at his conference room in Rangpur city," a press release said.
He distributed the crests among the police personnel for their laudable performances in handling crimes and maintaining law and order. The awarded five police personnel are: Sub-inspector (SI) Bibhuti Bhushan Roy of Tazhat police station, Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Md Shahjahan Hossain of Kotwali police station, Sergeant Md Golam Azam of Traffic (North), SI Md Abu Saiyum Talukder and Assistant Town Sub-inspector Md Apel Mahmud.
Additional Commissioner of Police of RpMP Md Mehedul Karim, its Deputy Commissioners of Police Kazi Muttaki Ibnu Minan (DB) and Md Mohidul Islam (Headquarters and Admin), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) Abu Maruf Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of Police (City Special Branch) Abu Bakar Siddique and senior officials were present.
