Earlier, a sharp raiding team of RAB-12, Sirajganj raided various places on Saturday night and arrested them. The arrested are Md. Kamrul Islam Hasan (22), son of deceased Matiur Rahman of Dhitpur Alal village, Bahuli Union of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila, Imran Sheikh (32), son of Md. Sohail Sheikh of Sayagobind Bhangabari Mohalla, Syajganj Sadar Upazila, son of Md. Insan Sheikh (20), son of deceased Abdul Majid Sheikh of Saydhangara Mohalla. ), of Sayadhangarh Jagaimore area.
Munna Sheikh (27), son of deceased Abul Hossain and Mosa Mukti Begum (50), wife of deceased Zainal of Diardhangara Mahalla,
Meanwhile, 08 mobile phones and 9 thousand taka in cash were seized from them. The RAB-12 captain also said that during the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the accused used to steal lakhs of rupees from various victims by targeting various autorickshaws, CNG, running on rent in the area and claiming to go to different places and buying and selling these vehicles. For a long time, the accused have been robbing the victims of their money by holding them hostage and torturing them by communicating on their used mobile phones behind the scenes. The arrested accused are active members of an organized extortion ring. In different police station areas of Sirajganj district, ordinary people were being robbed by various tricks. A case is being filed against the arrested accused at Sirajganj Sadar Police Station.
