In a special operation of Rajbari district police, the police arrested 5 members of the inter-district bandit gang. A truck was recovered from them.
The arrested are, Md. Akbar Molla (38), Md. Mominul Haque Momin (35), Md. Yakub Ali (38), Md. Shahin Molla (27), Md. Sujan (38).
These dacoits are involved in various terrorist activities including theft and robbery in different districts of the country. The police also said that there are several cases in their name in different police stations. Rajbari district police arrested them recently in connection with robbery of a truck full of cows from Rajbari Kalukhali.
Superintendent of Police MM Shakiluzzaman gave this information through a press briefing at the conference room of the Superintendent of Police on Tuesday., July 26 at 11:00 am.
In a press briefing, the Superintendent of Police said that the truck used in the robbery was identified by reviewing various CCTV footages of the Rajbari Kushtia highway and detailed information was collected about the robbers. Later, a special team of the police conducted a raid in Daulatdia area of Goaland police station on the basis of secret information and arrested 5 people including the dacoit leader.
In this incident, a case has been filed in Rajbari Sadar Police Station under the Dacoity Act. There are cases against them in various police stations of the country including Rajbari.
