5,000 metres, illegal gas lines disconnected in Gazipur

A team of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited Gazipur regional office cut off more than 5000 meters of illegal gas lines from  1000 residential houses  at  Kewa  area of  Sreepur upazila in Gazipur  on Thursday.  Titas gas authorities with the help of Gazipur district administration disconnected those lines by conducting a drive led by executive magistrate Harun-or-Rashid at the area from morning till evening.  

Manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Gazipur regional office Engineer Ershad Mahmud said, a number of illegal gas users connected gas lines in their residence without any permission of the Titas authorities. 

On a secret information, a team of Titas Gas Gazipur office conducted a drive led by executive magistrate Harun Or Rashid  at the three points of the area and disconnected more than 5000 meters of illegal lines from 1000  houses of the areas. They seized 500 meters of pipes, rizer and burners that were being used in illegal connection.

Manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Gazipur regional office Engineer Ershad Mahmud, Deputy Manager  Engineer S M Abu Sufian,  engineer Abdul Alim Rasel,  engineer Mirza Shahnewaz Latif, assistant engineer Zahin Ameer Khan, sub-assistant engineer Md. Sabinur Rahman, SM Anowar Hossain and Asadullah Kaiser were present during the operation.
