The 45th death anniversary of the oppressed public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani is being observed at Tangail through various programs.
Prof Dr ARM Solaiman, Vice-Chancellor (Additional Responsibilities) of Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology inaugurated the day-long program by laying wreaths and offering prayers at Bhasani's Shrine in Tangail of Santosh of Tangail on Wednesday (November 17) morning.

Later, various political parties including Awami League, BNP, Jatiya Party, teachers-officials-students of the university, MaulanaBhasani's family, Tangail Press Club, various educational institutions, socio-cultural organizations and followers of MaulanaBhasani laid wreaths and offered prayers at the shrine.
On the occasion of the day, various organizations have undertaken different programs throughout the day. The program includes discussion, meetings, performing Baulsongs, Milad, prayer mahfil, Orosh, distribution of food among the needy and more various other arrangements.
