42nd BCS viva voce postponed

The viva voce for the 42nd (Special) BCS candidates, which was scheduled to be held from May 23, has been postponed due to government restrictions in the situation arising out of the Coronavirus pandemic.

This has been informed in a press release by Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Tuesday.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) will announce the rescheduled date of the oral test once the government restrictions are relaxed considering the pandemic situation in the country, the release said.

Earlier, a press release was issued by the PSC on May 5 stating that the Viva would start from May 23. Some 220 candidates out of 6,022 who passed the preliminary test, were supposed to take part in the viva on the first day from 10 in the morning.

In the context of Covid-19 pandemic, the 42nd Special BCS was notified last year to recruit 2,000 doctors for government jobs. The preliminary examination was held on 26 February. One month after the examination, PSC revealed the results of on March 29 where 6 thousand 22 passed.
