Rajshahi Metropolitan Police detained 40 drug sellers and users from different parts of the city during special anti-narcotics drives.
The drives were conducted from Monday night to Tuesday morning, said a press release signed by RMP additional police commissioner Golam Ruhul Kuddus on Tuesday.
Of them, 10 were arrested under Boalia model police station, 6 under Rajpara police station, 3 under Chandrima police station, 6 under Matihar police station, 4 under Katakhali police station, 1 under Belpukur police station, 1 under Shah Makhdum police station, 2 under Airport police station, 1 under Paba police station, 3 under Kashiyadangya police station, 1 under Damkura police station and 2 were arrested by Detective Branch of police.
Legal action has been taken already against those detainees, RMP additional police commissioner Golam Ruhul Kuddus also said.
