Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested four alleged gold smugglers with 69 gold bars, weighing over six kilograms, and 12,000 USD dollar from Sadipur and Amrakhali area in Benapole Port police station on Thursday morning.
The arrestees were identified as Momeen Chowdhury, 55, son of Hasu Chowdhury of Sadipur village of Benapole, Nurul Islam, 45, son of Akbar Ali of Porabari village, Rafiqul Islam, 33, son of Mohiuddin, and A. Razzak, 40, son of Sahiduzaman of Patukhali border village in Benapole.
