4 men rescued from sinking boat in Sundarbans

Members of west zone of Bangladesh Coast Guard rescued four men from a sinking boat in Batulia River of Sundarbans.

A boat loaded with goods of a grocer started its journey from Nobeki Bazar to Golkhali Bazar on Fruday noon. On the way in Batulia River the boat sank loosing control due to overload.

Coastguard Station Koira later conducted a rescue operation as soon as the news was received and they were able to rescue all 4 of the boat crew alive. 

Names of the rescued men are, Abshar Sheikh (50), Mahbubur Rahman (25), Abdul Quddus (25) and Rabiul Moral (28), residents of Koira police station area. After the rescue, they were returned to their families in good health. 

The Coast Guard men maintain law and order, public security, control piracy and robbery as well as perform public service activities in the area and will continue that in the future.
