Members of Rajbari District Narcotics Control Office arrested 4 people with 70 grams of heroin and Tk 2 lakh 48 thousand from Charkestpur of Dadashi union under Rajbari Sadar Upazila on Wednesday morning.
The arrestees were identified as Shila Begum, Prakash, 30, wife of Md. Jamal Mollah of Charkestapur village, Ravi Lal, 36, Panna Lal, sons of Babu Lal and Sentu Kazi, 35, son of Swapan Kazi. All the arrestees are residents of Daulatdia area of Goalanda.
Confirming the matter, Assistant Director of the Narcotics Control Office Tanvir Mahmud said they were arrested from Shila Begum’s house in Charkestapur village, on the basis of secret information.
He added, a case is underway in this connection with Rajbari Sadar Police Station and there were several drug cases against the arrested Ravi Lal, Panna Lal and Sentu Kazi.
