4 DU students given ‘Director’s Award’

Four students of the Institute of Health Economics of Dhaka University (DU) have been given ‘Director’s Award’ for their outstanding academic performances in BSS and MSS examinations.

Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed the award among the students as the chief guest on Wednesday at Professor Dr Mohammad Habibullah Conference Hall of DU.

Director of the Institute of Health Economics of DU Professor Dr Nasrin Sultana presided over the programme while Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Dr Sadeka Halim and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam addressed it as special guests.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman congratulated the recipients of the awards for their academic achievement. He said, it’s time to think about how we will adapt ourselves to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. We need to create world-class graduates who will contribute to achieve SDGs. Students must take positive efforts to improve the standard of life of common people, DU VC added.

The recipients of ‘Director’s Award’ are Muhammad Ihsan-Ul-Kabir (MSS-2017), Fariha Kadir and Md. Mahfujur Rahman (MSS-2018) and Ashraful Kibria (BSS 2018).
